Zonta's Day of Film 2016 will be March 5, 2016. Save the date and buy your tickets now!
The film is The Hunting Ground, described by The New York Times as “an unblinking look at sexual assaults on campus.”
The statistics are staggering. One in five women in college are sexually assaulted, yet only a fraction of these crimes are reported, and even fewer result in punishment for the perpetrators.
The Hunting Ground reveals an endemic system of institutional cover-ups, rationalizations, victim-blaming, and denial. But two survivors take matters into their own hands and use a Title IX legal strategy to fight back.
This documentary has inspired new laws in New York and California and changes in campus policies.
Please join us at Zonta Club of Denver's Eighth Annual Day of Film for a showing of this full-length film, followed by a catered champagne brunch.
9:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 5, 2016
Tickets are $40 and include brunch and the screening.
Parking is available in the Tivoli Parking Garage adjacent to the Tivoli Center.
Your parking ticket will be validated at the Day of Film (so bring your parking ticket inside with you).
